Wellness Warehouse opened up their first flagship store on Kloof Street in Cape Town in 2007. They have since opened numerous stores in Gauteng. I was invited for a foodie meet up on Freedom day at one of the newly opened stores at Woodlands Boulevard in Pretoria East. Our table was laid out beautifully and we were treated to an array of filling and healthy dishes.

As we were seated we were offered a warm beverage, I chose a Chai latte with almond milk and you can have a choice of any milk with your warm beverage. The kitchen prepared chicken wraps, wheat free pesto pasta, beetroot hummus, paleo chocolate pumpkin seed cake, a deconstructed fruit salad, smoothies and hemp brownies (not that kind of hemp), they are so moist and yummy.  Chef Andre Rossouw described all the dishes in detail. My favorite was the falafel wrap, the matcha pancakes with nut butter and the apple, mint and lemon green juice. With all we had to eat we were still offered a Banting cheesecake to end off the meal. I was really impressed that most of what we had to eat was gluten free and vegan friendly.
