I recently received a packet of Matcha tea powder from My Matcha. As a tea lover I enjoy all types of tea including green tea. I have had matcha tea before so I was very keen to try it for it’s various benefits.
My Matcha green tea powder is:
- 100% Organic Matcha Green Tea
- 70 x More antioxidants than orange juice
- 9 x More beta carotene than spinach
- 15 x Better for you than regular green tea
- Makes a delicous cup of tea and is great for smoothies, icecream and cakes too.
- 100g gives you around 90 servings!
Matcha green tea is harvested and attentively hand picked from from the youngest leaves grown on organic tea farms on the lush Asian country sides.
Every single batch of Matcha green tea is shaded for two weeks before harvesting which increases the Chlorophyll level which in turn ups the antioxidant levels too. The young leaves are carefully steamed and delicately ground into a fine Matcha green tea powder which is consumed entirely. My matcha is hygenicaly sealed in high quality airtight packaging.
I first used My Matcha Green Tea powder by making a matcha latte.
All you need is 1 teaspoon of matcha powder and 250ml almond milk. First dilute the powder with warm water and then add warm milk, not boiling.I added a teaspoon of honey to make it a little sweet, but you can enjoy it just as is.
The benefits of Matcha Green Tea are:
- high in antioxidants
- boosts brain function
- protects the liver
- protects the heart
- prevents cancer
- helps you to lose weight
- easy to prepare
My second recipe is matcha waffles,
I added a tea spoon of matcha powder to my trusted waffle batter.
It’s a great way to get added antioxidants in a hearty breakfast.
Matcha tea powder can also be used in smoothies, protein balls, pancakes, cookies, muffins and even cheesecake to name a few.
Matcha green tea powder (100g) retails for R359 and delivery is free all over South Africa. You can order yours at www.mymatcha.co.za
