24 hours in Milan

We arrived late afternoon in Milan, our last stop on our honeymoon in Italy.

Milan is like no other city in Italy. The train station was one of the most beautiful I have seen, decorated with beautiful art work and sculptures.

Milan is also the business capital with many people who speak English so that made us very happy following our trip to Maranello.

1st stop after we dropped off our suitcases at the hotel was the Milan Cathedral which is conveniently located next to the mall, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

What a beautiful church, I am so glad we got our pictures done on this day because the next day they were setting up for a function with the expected security barricades around the Cathedal, blocking the beautiful architecture.

Our next stop was Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II right next to the Cathedral.

The shopping centre houses all the big fashions names such as Prada, Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Versace to name a few.

There’s also live music all over the galleria which you can enjoy with a gelato.

We later stopped at Navigli district which lights up beautifully in the evenings for an “aperitif” before dinner but please be advised restaurants do not serve food from 15:00 PM – 18:00 PM

Navigli district is located along canals with many restaurants to choose from, various cuisines and is buzzing with many people who enjoy the dinner time atmostphere.

We we also visited the iStore which is in the center of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. A stunning waterfall cascades above the store and a long staircase takes you down to the store.

These buildings look so beautiful. Almost like a fairytale – unreal.
